Stay healthy all summer long
The summer months are a great time to get outside and be active. With a few safety precautions, summer can be full of fun in the sun.
Be sun savvy:
- Wear sunscreen and lip screen with an SPF or 15 or higher. Don’t forget to reapply.
- Stay hydrated with plenty on non-alcoholic, cold beverages.
- Cover up with clothes and a wide brimmed hat whenever you are in the sun.
- Always wear a seatbelt.
- Leave fireworks displays to the professionals.
- Wear a helmet when riding a bicycle or motorcycle.
- Never drink and drive.
- Use mosquito and bug repellant.
- Wash your hands with soap and clean running water for 20 seconds. Or, use alcohol-based hand-sanitizer.
- Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
- Handle and prepare all foods safely.
