Stay healthy all summer long

The summer months are a great time to get outside and be active. With a few safety precautions, summer can be full of fun in the sun.

Be sun savvy:

  • Wear sunscreen and lip screen with an SPF or 15 or higher. Don’t forget to reapply.
  • Stay hydrated with plenty on non-alcoholic, cold beverages.
  • Cover up with clothes and a wide brimmed hat whenever you are in the sun.
Be cautious:
  • Always wear a seatbelt.
  • Leave fireworks displays to the professionals.
  • Wear a helmet when riding a bicycle or motorcycle.
  • Never drink and drive.
  • Use mosquito and bug repellant.
Stay healthy:
  • Wash your hands with soap and clean running water for 20 seconds. Or, use alcohol-based hand-sanitizer.
  • Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
  • Handle and prepare all foods safely.
